Accepting the Eddie Award for Best-Edited Half-Hour Series
Jonathan Schwartz is an award-winning editor of television and features.
He edited the first two seasons of “Modern Family,” for which he earned two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Picturing Editing and won an Eddie, awarded by American Cinema Editors, for Best-Edited Half-Hour Series.
Jonathan began his career in feature editorial. He was mentored by Oscar-winning editor Paul Hirsch, ACE, and also worked under multiple-Oscar-winning editors Joe Hutshing, ACE, and Walter Murch, ACE.
Jonathan’s feature credits include the romantic comedy “The Heart Specialist” and the forthcoming military thriller “Recalled.” His other television credits include several pilots and the first season of Showtime’s “House of Lies.” Jonathan has also edited award-winning short films and nationally broadcast commercials.
A native of Washington, DC, Jonathan studied film history and theory at Columbia University. He lives in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.
